Partners

Universidade Lusófona will bring two units together CeiED Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development and the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning. CeiED is a established R&I for the fields of Education, Territory, Memory and Human Development, and has an extensive work at the national and international level through several partnerships and bilateral agreements, contributing to the development and dissemination of science within and outside academia. storyLab is coordinated by the research group CIDATE – Citizen science in understanding and transforming the territory.

Lourinhã City Council

CEHL Centro de Estudos Históricos da Lourinhã is a non-profit association established in 1994 after the 1st Congress of History and Culture of Lourinhã, in order to highlight issues of history and culture in Lourinhã. The funding partners were predominating teachers of history of the county schools, mayors and other interested researchers, as well as citizens of Lourinhã. Currently, CEHL collaborates in projects of collective interest in for the expansion of knowledge about the history of Lourinhã and safeguarding its material and immaterial heritage.

AGEO Aspiring Geoparque Oeste is a non-profit private association, founded in 2018 to manage the application to of the municipalities of Bombarral, Cadaval, Caldas da Rainha, Lourinhã, Peniche and Torres Vedras become a UNESCO World Geopark. Its mission is to contribute to the preservation, conservation, enhancement and promotion of the natural and cultural heritage, engaging in the dissemination of scientific knowledge, promoting education, tourism and sustainable development of the populations and the territory.  Among some research projects in which AGEO is involved, to mention are the two projects under the UNESCO International Geoscience Programme: “Geofood” and “Science and Education for Sustainable Development Networks in UNESCO Global Geoparks.

LNEC Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Cívil, founded in 1946, is a public research institute dedicated to S&T, encompassing the various fields of civil engineering (the main scientific core) and related scientific areas, including social sciences. The scope of its activity includes public works, infrastructures, housing and urban planning, hydraulics and water resources, transportation, environment and construction materials. These joint capabilities allow the preparation and implementation of multidisciplinary approaches to complex problems, as the broad field of urban territory, coastline and environment.
